URBAN eat Blog of the Month: Hungry Healthy Happy

This month we have a treat for you!  Please give a big welcome to Dannii who is the fantastic blogger behind Hungry Healthy Happy. Her blog is all about recipes, health and weight loss tips and exercises and she’s extremely passionate about helping people to build a simple but heathy relationship with food.

We are very excited to share Dannii’s story with you so here are her answers to some of the questions we asked:

1. What inspired you to start your blog?

I started my blog as a way to keep myself on track with my 100lb weight loss and it kind of snowballed from there. It started as just my friends and family reading it, and then they started sharing it and before I knew it, it had become my full-time job. Starting the blog was the best thing I ever did.

2. Where do you find inspiration for recipes?

My blog is about creating healthier alternatives to my favourite foods. So, I am inspired by all the foods that made me overweight, as well as meals that I have in restaurants, or things I see on cooking shows. A lot of my recipes come from experimenting with using leftovers.

3. What is your favourite recipe in your blog and why?

Probably my Raw Chocolate Fudge Brownies. You would never know that they are healthy and they are SO easy to make too. They are also one of my most popular recipes on the blog too.

4. What would be your dream destination regarding food?

It would have to be Italy. I don’t think I have ever eaten as much as when I went to Rome Pizza, pasta and gelato – what more could you want?

5. What is your most spectacular kitchen fail?

I have to admit that I am useless cooking anything rice related and homemade rice pudding is always a fail for me. But kitchen fails happen daily for me in terms of dropping things – I make such a mess.

We hope you love this blog as much as we do. Visit Dannii’s amazing blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see for yourself.
